Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I prepare for a cryotherapy session?

Not sure what to expect when you visit us for Cryotherapy? If this is your first time, we’ll guide you through the process. As a new member and someone new to cryotherapy, you’ll complete a simple medical waiver and then go into a private changing room where you will be provided with a robe, socks, gloves and slippers. Some people wear shorts in the chamber, some wear workout clothes. It’s entirely up to you. Once you’re changed, you’ll head into either our liquid nitrogen or electric Cryotherapy chamber ( location dependent ), where you’ll be with our Cryotech for the next 2 – 3 minutes during your session! You’ll be in subzero temperatures, and it will feel like you’re standing outside on a cold winter day. You’ll be completely dry, so if you’ve done an ice bath before, there’s nothing similar at all to the dry air of Cryotherapy. As soon as you get out of the chamber, you’ll immediately start to feel refreshed, your body will warm back up and many people say they feel a big boost of energy and positivity, similar to that of a runner’s high. From there, we think you’ll be hooked and we’ll see you again shortly!

  • What is Cryoskin?

The Cryoskin device and service targets different areas of your body by using a mixture of cold and warm temperatures to help to tighten, tone, and slim your skin. Every Cryoskin client goes through an initial consultation to determine what the best approach may be depending on your health or cosmetic goals. During a Cryoskin Facial, our technician will use a wand, similar to that of an ultrasound wand, to target areas of skin to achieve better results than your traditional, topical facial. The cold temperatures help to increase circulation and collagen production, which may help the body reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pores and improve your skin’s overall clarity, which you should notice immediately after the service. If you’re doing a CryoSlimming session, you will feel a comforting warming sensation followed by cold massage. The temperatures penetrate your skin and work through your body at a cellular level to help and reduce the appearance of cellulite as well as smoothing your skin.

  • What is Compression Therapy Like?

Curious what you should expect from your Compression session at FrostFire? Compression is one of the most relaxing experiences that you may have, and many feel that it’s very similar to a great massage. At FrostFire, you’ll enjoy 30 minutes of relaxation in one of our comfortable, custom designed lounge chairs where one of our team members will assist you in putting on your Rapid Reboot compression, legs, hips, or arm attachments. The devices are flexible, very comfortable and cover the entire area that you would like to treat. During your session, all you need to do is sit back, relax, and let Rapid Reboot do the work from there. The system will fill with pressurized air and then release, continually and throughout the area you’re treating in a smooth and rhythmic pattern that mimics the body’s own fluid movement and valve system. You have full control of how much pressure you prefer and can make adjustments at any time during the session.

  • How Does an Infrared Sauna Work?

Infrared Saunas are unique in that they heat your body through a variety of light waves. Infrared light can penetrate skin at different levels, which will promote perspiration and may help improve circulatory, respiratory and inflammatory issues in your body. In a 30-minute session, you will be in your own private sauna where you can relax and unwind while the warm light helps to heal and restore your body.
